Morning Sermon - 29th June 2025 - Serving from the Principle of Love

Preaching from Galatians 5, the Reverend George Speers explores what it means to serve one another through love rather than duty, guilt or a desire for recognition. Drawing on 1 Corinthians 13, the widow's offering, and examples from Jonathan Edwards, John Wesley, Amy Carmichael and Hudson Taylor, Rev Speers sets out four reasons why love-motivated service is uniquely valuable, joyful, excellent and effective. He closes by pointing to Christ's own sacrificial service as the pattern and source for all Christian love.
