Mr David Colvin, a missionary with experience serving in Nigeria, opens a two-part study of Paul's short letter to Philemon. In this first sermon he looks at Paul's greetings and prayer of thanksgiving, drawing out what they reveal about Philemon's character, his hospitality, and the way believers depend on one another in the work of the gospel. Mr Colvin closes by urging the congregation to pray for and encourage one another, since no Christian can be effective alone.
