Evening Sermon - 7th June 2026 - Ahab, Micaiah, and the unbreakable word of God

This evening's sermon is delivered by Rev. George Speers.

Preaching from 1 Kings 22, the Reverend George Speers examines the contrasting fates of King Ahab and King Jehoshaphat, and the contrasting prophets Zedekiah and Micaiah, to show that God's word never fails to be fulfilled. Rev Speers draws out the danger of compromising faith, the pressure to tell people only what they want to hear, and the call to be faithful witnesses like Micaiah regardless of cost. The sermon closes with a challenge to receive God's unbreakable word with joy and to live by it faithfully even when unpopular.
