Evening Sermon - 20th July 2025 - God is Holy, God is Love

This evening's sermon is delivered by Mr Hazlett Lynch.

Preaching on 1 John 4, Mr Hazlett Lynch argues that the world's deepest tragedy is not entertainment, ignorance or technology but that people have forgotten and forsaken God. He explores how God's holiness and God's love meet perfectly at Calvary, warns against theologies that emphasise one attribute at the expense of the other, and points to love for one another as the mark of a true disciple of Christ. The sermon closes with a direct appeal to hear and respond to God's love now, not later.
