Easter Sunday - Evening Sermon - 5th April 2026 - Clothed with Humility on the Road to Glory

In this final message of a preaching series at Ballynahinch Congregational Church, Mr Philip Kelly closes out 1 Peter by looking at chapter 5:5-11. He explores how Christians are called to follow Christ's example of humility, to stand firm against the devil, and to hold fast to the hope of glory even while walking a road marked by suffering. Drawing on Jesus washing the disciples' feet, Philippians 2, and Peter's own words about casting our anxieties on God, Mr Kelly encourages believers not to give up, but to trust that God will restore, confirm, strengthen and establish them in his time.
